The countdown to the 2026 season starts here.

It’s time to bring the club together and officially launch the year ahead and there’s no better way to do it than with our Giants’ Family Day & 2026 Season Launch.

This relaxed, family-focused event is all about connection, community and setting the tone for a huge season ahead. Whether you’re a long-time Giant or brand new to the club, this is your chance to get involved, meet the faces behind the scenes and feel part of something special.

What’s happening on the day

We’ve packed the day with activities for all ages, including:

• Jumping castles, slushies and fairy floss

• A sausage sizzle to keep everyone fuelled

• A kids footy clinic and games

• Club apparel store

Special Announcements

At this year’s Family Day we will be announcing the names of our junior football and netball teams after greats of our Club. We look forward to these incredibly exciting announcements and hope to get as many past and present families along as possible.

A moment to launch the season

Following the activities, we’ll officially mark the beginning of the 2026 season with addresses from our Club Chairs and Presidents, sharing the vision, direction and excitement for the year ahead.

This is about more than football and netball — it’s about people, culture and the community that makes the Geelong West Giants what it is.

Wrapping up in true Giants style

We’ll finish the day with a casual wind-down at our brand new 2026 sponsor and home away from home, The Queen of the West, giving everyone the chance to relax, connect and celebrate the start of the season together.
