The Geelong West Giants are proud to invite you to our Wellbeing Brunch on Saturday 20th June as part of AFL Barwon Mental Health Round.

At the Giants, we believe that strong communities are built when people feel connected, supported and comfortable reaching out when they need help. This special event is an opportunity to bring our community together to learn, connect and explore the many ways we can look after our wellbeing and support one another.

Location: Geelong West Giants Clubrooms
The morning will feature:
• A community wellbeing expo showcasing our club’s wellbeing partners, local businesses, organisations and services focused on health, wellbeing and community support.
• A panel discussion hosted by Geelong icon Roxie Bennett OAM featuring Geelong West Giants GFNL President Paul Eastman, Angie Hilton - creator of Destination Happiness, and Luke Maher - Tackle your feelings, who will share their experiences, insights and practical strategies for maintaining positive mental health and discuss the importance of having a strong community.
Our MC for the morning Roxie Bennett OAM
Roxie Bennett is a Business Owner, Author, Life Coach, Strategic Engagement Specialist, Professional Speaker, MC, and former radio presenter. A breast cancer survivor and bestselling author of The Butterfly Plan, she inspires resilience, wellbeing, and positive change through coaching, community engagement, storytelling, and her passion for helping others navigate life's challenges.
Panelists
Angie Hilton is an award-winning TV producer, presenter, and creator of Destination Happiness - Meditation studio. Driven by her personal journey overcoming anxiety and depression, she is passionate about promoting mental health, resilience, and wellbeing through media, storytelling, and community connection.
Luke Maher has been involved in football across the region for more than 25 years as both a player and administrator. Through his extensive experience in community sport, he has seen firsthand the important role clubs play in supporting people both on and off the field.
Now facilitating the Tackle Your Feelings program, Luke is passionate about helping break down the stigma around mental health, creating meaningful conversations, and equipping sporting communities with the tools to support wellbeing and build stronger connections.
Paul Eastman has dedicated more than 20 years volunteering in community sport. A respected leader within the Geelong football community, he served as President of Geelong West St Peters before becoming the inaugural President of the Geelong West Giants in 2016.
Paul has played a key role in building a strong, inclusive and community-focused club culture, helping guide the club’s growth and success over the past decade. He recently retired after a 40-year career in primary education.
Drawing on his extensive experience in education, leadership and volunteering, Paul brings valuable insights into the importance of connection, community and wellbeing.
