The club would like to welcome our new GFNL senior football coach Greg Mellor. We are thrilled to announce his appointment as Greg not only has an extremely experienced coaching and playing background, but his family is already involved with our club through his boys playing with our juniors.

Greg Mellor comes with a wealth of experience having spent six years at Richmond from 2011-2016 as an assistant coach. This included time as a forwards, back line and development coach. Previous to this he was the senior assistant coach of West Adelaide for three years as well as playing nearly 200 games with the Club (and captaining the team for four years). Greg was also named Captain of West Adelaide’s team of the decade (2000-2009).

The club is ecstatic in being able to appoint such a high calibre and most...

The Big V awaits Geelong West Giant, Jayden Symes who has capped off a remarkable year. Making the most of his opportunities. Jayden has been named along with West teammate Chris Moreland in the initial squad.

The GFL, which defeated Mornington Peninsula last month to maintain its title as the No.1 community competition in Victoria, has the equal most players selected along with Ovens & Murray.

Jayden was named one of Geelong's best and continues to impress with the Giants.

Great day for the GFNL interleague football team including for our Giants players Chris Moreland and Jayden Symes coming away with the win and retaining the No 1 title in the state. Both boys dominated on the MCG and both named in the best players.

Pako Festa is the largest free celebration of cultural diversity in Australia!

Awesome publicity for our Club.

We had an awesome time in the Pako Festa parade! Thanks to everyone who joined us and made it all possible. Special thanks to everyone for all the organising... A Giant effort!

A 6am flight from Avalon, followed by breakfast upon arrival, then into a 'game sense' training session with GWS senior coaching staff, followed by a nutrition presentation and hands on team cook up, concluding with a shared meal as cooked by the players & coaches.

GEELONG West's last premiership coach Bill Goggin can see the club returning as a power with its new alliance with Greater Western Sydney.

GEELONG West-St Peter’s could be known as the GW Giants from as early as next year after holding preliminary discussions to strike an alignment with the AFL club.

A delegation of Roosters officials flew to Sydney on Friday to meet with Giants CEO David Matthews, who is a former boss of AFL Barwon, and discuss just how the unprecedented arrangement could work.
