Our Auskick program is regarded as one of the best, and importantly well organised Auskicks in the region. Not only does the Giant community provide six coaches to take the kids in each session, there is ongoing interaction with the remainder of the club, from senior boys and girls all the way down to Auskick.

Come and try | Giants Auskick is a great place to begin in the Geelong West Giants family club. Family friendly sessions commencing Friday 5th May 2023 and running for 12-14 weeks, and excluding holidays. Run at Bakers Oval Shannon Avenue Geelong West, at 5pm Friday evenings, we encourage parents to participate, but the club also employees assistant coaches to help run the sessions in a fun and consistent way. Geelong West is proud to provide a fully diversified, family friendly program, where your child can meet new friends, develop some football skills and more importantly have a lot of fun. Each year we get opportunities to do the half time Auskick at Kardinia Park, but also at the MCG. We were recently selected to play the half time grid games in an AFL final, in which all our kids and parents received free tickets - a great night and an opportunity to play on the MCG in front of 90,000+ spectators!
When your child comes to Auskick at Geelong West, they will become a "Little Giant" and will be divided into small groups of the same age. Our activities are basically fun games with football related skills incorporated. As the kids are grouped by age, they are less likely to be hurt in tackles and will have more opportunity to have a ball in their hands and have fun.
Facilities and success
The Geelong West Giants field teams in both the GFL and GDFL and many of our senior boys and girls have transitioned into professional sport from the Giants. Our new stadium now delivers our members one of the best facilities in the region. It will provide your child the best spring board to grow into an elite sports person if they so choose. More importantly, being involved in a family friendly, all inclusive club environment, like the Giants, will greatly help your child develop the social skills to be successful and happy in life.
Lastly, and very importantly, this year we will have a coffee van for parents to enjoy while they watch.
